This project of Mongia Green Foundation Aims to:

 Provide oxygen bed facilities and a place for resting at a facility near Giridih Sadar Hospital – In association with the Bar Association of Giridih, Mongia Green Foundation has set up a 10-Bed facility at the Bar Association building at Kacheri Chowk, Giridih. Patients who visit the Sadar Hospital for testing or consultation can use the facility to rest. They can get oxygen as well if needed. Free food is provided to the patients and their companions.

 To encourage people located in small towns and villages to take adequate self-protection by wearing appropriate masks, hand washing, and using sanitizers.

 To encourage people to seek medical advice from registered doctors in case there are symptoms of Covid-19 infection.

 To sponsor the full cost of home care medicines and self-protection items of BPL card holder people who have been advised by a doctor for home isolation and home based care for Covid treatment but cannot afford to buy the medicines.

 Assigned coordinator/ volunteer of Mongia Green Foundation receive calls made on the contact numbers displayed on the banners fixed on mini-vans – they ask the callers to share BPL card details, Aadhar card details, and the prescriptions advising home isolation as well as medicines. In case original prescriptions are required to purchase the medicines, coordinators/volunteers arrange to collect the prescriptions and after purchase of the medicines, return the prescriptions to the beneficiaries.

 Anyone who has been advised for home isolation and home treatment by a registered medical practitioners can call the numbers given below to receive the prescribed medicines as per the home isolation kit notified by the Government of Jharkhand and District Health Committee, Ranchi. The home isolation kit includes medicines and personal protective equipment kits.

 For running the awareness campaign and sponsor the cost of medicines and self-protection items (as per doctor’s prescription) we are spending Rs. 17,600 daily. The campaign covers Sadar Hospital at Giridih and adjacent rural and semi-urban areas. This expenditure also covers home isolation medicines for 10 persons, i.e., Rs. 11,880.

 Non-profit organisations may partner with us and help us get support to our project so that we can scale up the project and reach the benefits to more people who cannot afford the cost of medicines for home care and treatment.
